ELT Group stands out for its vertical expertise in EMSO (Electromagnetic spectrum operations), which over the years has been enriched with new assets (particularly in the cyber area) and operates globally in all domains, now also in space, for the implementation of solutions, services and systems dedicated to military defense and civil security.

The company collaborates nationally and internationally with leading companies in the industry on all major military platforms, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon fighter aircraft, the NFH-90 helicopter, the PPA naval platform (Italian), and the Italian-French Horizon and FREMM frigates.

The products manufactured by the company are called surveillance (tactical and strategic) and protection (Active Systems).

Specifically, Surveillance Systems cover Electromagnetic Emission Search, Interception, Analysis, Identification and Localization (ESM/ Tactical ELINT), Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), while Defense and Protection Systems, cover Countermeasures (ECM) and ESM/ECM Integrated Defense Systems.
Topic of increasing investment is the EW Comm segment, including Cyber applications, on par with Integrated Infrared Defense Systems.
The flagship of the company’s offerings are the ADRIAN (Anti-Drone Interception Aquisition Neutralization) hostile drone counter system and the Dircm “Quiris” for countering threats in the infrared.

In 2023, ELT entered the Space domain with Scorpio, the company’s first payload put into LEO (Low Earth Orbit) for Electronic intelligence activities on unclassified data. ELT Group has, consolidated its know-how in electromagnetic spectrum management, applying it also to new markets and lines of business, adjacent to the Defense one, in particular to the Biodefense sector, to whose presidium it has dedicated the newco E4Life, established in partnership with the real estate company Lendlease.

To support innovation and technological developments, the company invests about 50 ML.annually in R&D between internal and funded investment.

Praetorian is the EW Self-Protection Suite in which ELT is the Design Authority of the Electronic Attack component. Designed in close partnership with the EuroDASS consortium partner, it reached the 3rd stage of its development and it is undergoing an important DASS Enhancement program in order to assure the EW protection against new generation radar threat. Field-proven in several operations, Praetorian is in constant evolution and supported by ELT and its EuroDASS partner across the Air Forces users of Typhoon.

Italian Air Force selected the ELT\572 Direct Infra-Red Counter Measures system to protect Hercules from MANPADS missile guided by infra-red emissions. ELT\572 is able to track the missile, once detected by the legacy MWS, and direct a jamming laser emission towards the missile head that is dazzled and diverted in its lethal course. new family of EW Naval Suite as the most innovative proposal in the field of the Soft-Kill capability, conceived to fulfil the most stringent requirement of the Naval Electronic Defence both for Electronic Support and Electronic Attack employing the most advanced technologies. The integrated EW Suite provides RESM (Radar Electronic Support Counter-Measure) RECM (Radar Electronic Counter-Measure) based on GaN TRX Solid State modules and CESM (Communication ESM) granting effectiveness both in Blue Water and Littoral operation with an enhanced Maritime Surveillance and Situation Assessment through advanced ELINT and COMINT features, up to an innovative SEI algorithm. The ELT system installed and already in service is named ZEUS, designed and development on the basis of the ELT Virgilius family.

The ELT EWS system installed and already in service is the latest development of the NEWIS system already provided for the Horizon Class and Cavour Carrier, tasked to provide both self-protection of the Ship and High Value Target HVT within a Naval Force. The EWS system is based on an extensive use of the latest technologies in the field of Active Phase Array Antennas, allowing outstanding performances in jamming and deception of incoming threats through its RECM Sub-System Nettuno 4100.
