StarTech Trieste: Your Partner for Advanced Engineering, NPI and High‑Tech Manufacturing

StarTech Trieste s.r.l., established in September 2025, aims to lead technological transformation by creating a highly specialized hub for the production of devices used in fiber-optic data transmission, as well as for the development and manufacturing of advanced solutions in the Aerospace & Defence sector.
We leverage cutting-edge innovations to lead the global market for high-speed optical transceivers and to build an ecosystem where talent, capital, and vision converge to create impact and ensure Italy’s strategic independence, while generating economic growth and new opportunities for the region.

The Trieste site is evolving into a state-of-the-art manufacturing hub for Optical Communications, Aerospace, Robotics, and Dual-Use Defence through:

   • Leveraging specialized expertise, building on Trieste’s proven capabilities in New   Product Introduction (NPI), industrialization, and high-tech manufacturing to accelerate innovation and scalability.

   • Investments in advanced infrastructure, with the deployment of significant investments in cutting-edge processes and testing equipment, enabling:

    – handling and testing of optical chips

    – advanced packaging and SMT technologies

    – final testing at speeds on the order of terabits per second (Tb/s)

Enabling next-generation optical transceivers, by developing the capability to manufacture high-speed optical transceivers customized to the needs of hyperscale data centers—a rapidly growing and strategically important customer segment.

Establishing a European Aerospace and Defence hub, with the objective of creating a robust manufacturing center capable of serving major corporations and supporting disruptive scale-ups in the Aerospace and Dual-Use Defence sectors.
