Piaggio Aerospace designs, develops, manufactures and maintains aircraft, aircraft engines, and structural components. Its history of innovation and progress started in Genoa, Italy, in 1884. As of July 1, 2025, Piaggio Aerospace has officially become part of the Baykar Group, a leading Turkish Company renowned worldwide for the development and production of UAV (drone) systems and advanced aerospace technologies. The acquisition finalized on June 30, 2025, at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, transferred the business units of Piaggio Aero Industries and Piaggio Aviation to the new company Baykar Piaggio Aerospace S.p.A.
This transaction represents a strategic step for the relaunch of the historic Italian brand, with particularly significant growth prospects in the unmanned aircraft sector, thanks to Baykar’s expertise in drone technologies.

Production of original parts for OEMs in the Aero Engine sector, specifically for the JSF F135, RTM322, Aneto, RW200, V632‑43, and GEM Mk1004 programs.
Maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Honeywell T53‑L‑703 and 55‑L‑714 turboshaft engines, Rolls‑Royce GEM2 Mk1004, M250, and Viper 632.
Collaboration on structural assemblies for the Falcon 2000 program.
