Established in 1965 by the Montini family, ILLCA S.M.I. is a private, medium size incorporated Italian company, operating in the defense market.

Thanks to a growth path, made of investments in human resources and plant technology, ILLCA S.M.I. is now a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of shelters and outdoors cabinets, including the integration of electrical, electromechanical and electronic equipment, for applications in telecommunications, railways, energy, aeronautics and defense components.

With more than 50 years of experience in the sheet metal processing and in the integration of electrical and electronic equipment, ILLCA S.M.I.’s mission is to develop and manufacture integrated mechanical solutions, with high technological content, transportable within shelters or containers and deployable on the field, to satisfy the operational needs of each customer in any environmental context

Design and development of integrated mechanical solutions sheltered and deployable on the field to meet any customer’s need:

Fixed shelters for Air Traffic Management (ATM): steel shelters or aluminum frangible shelters suitable to host Navigation Aids (NAV Aids) such as Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), Distance Measuring Equipment (DME), Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range (VOR), etc.
Airborne deployable systems: aluminum movable shelters designed to meet specific customer’s needs such as: deployable Instrument Landing Systems (ILS ), deployable Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) system, deployable Ground Control Stations (GCS) for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).
Shelters for other applications: shelters for telecommunications, storage of special materials in controlled environment and a variety of other applications.
