L’azienda si è sviluppata e opera con competenza dal 1972.

Nasce come Azienda Individuale dai due fondatori Merletti Gianluigi e la moglie Narcisa; nel 1995 l’azienda si trasforma ed accoglie nel Team i figli Sabrina e Ruggero.

La meccanica di precisione, fulcro della produzione, trova massima applicazione nel campo Aerospace che oggi riveste il prevalente impegno nella sezione dedicata alla progettazione e costruzione.

Qualificata dal 1995 secondo la normativa ISO 9001, dal 2006 secondo la EN 9100 e membro AIAD (Federazione Aziende Itailane per l’Aerospazio, la Difesa e la Sicurezza) ed operativa nel Distretto Aerospaziale Lombardo dispone e trasferisce un alto livello di know-how tecnologico in ogni campo delle costruzioni meccaniche, abbinato alla massima flessibilità di programmazione e qualità del prodotto.

Il reparto di produzione è dotato di Centri di Lavoro in grado di realizzare particolari che richiedono accurato grado di precisione e finitura, partendo da materiali con elevate caratteristiche meccaniche: ALLUMINIO – ACCIAI AD ALTA RESISTENZA – TITANIO – INCONEL.

La produzione è dedicata alla costruzione completa e assemblaggi di:

  • particolari meccanici (acquisizione di materia prima – trattamenti termici – costruzione controlli dimensionaricndtrattamenti galvanici e verniciature assemblaggi SOTTOGRUPPI)

  • progettazione e costruzione di attrezzature per la lavorazione dei particolari stessi e attrezzature a corredo del velivolo (G.S.E. tipiche per EH101 – NH90 – AW139 – VH71 – CH47)

  • costruzione di particolari meccanici per Impianti Energetici (corone dentate per trasmissione epicicloidale di generatori eolici)

  • assistenza tecnica per Impianti Fotovoltaici (l’azienda stessa dispone di un impianto di mq. 1500, per un impegno di 80 KW)

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Merletti Aerospace was founded 1972.
It was established as a small company by the two founders Gianluigi Merletti and his wife Narcisa. In 1995 the team expanded with the second generation welcoming the children Sabrina and Ruggero.

The Aerospace and Defense sector is the main focus of production and design activities in support of national and international primes.

Merletti Aerospace is today proud to serve customers throughout Italy, Europe and the United States thanks to a consolidated know-how in the field of technologies and precision mechanical machining, combined with maximum programming flexibility and product quality.

Merletti Aerospace has been certified since 1995 according to the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard, since 2006 according to AS/EN 9100. In 2018 the company was approved in accordance with PART 21 G regulation becoming part of Production Companies Approved at European level by EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) and at national level by ENAC (National Authority for Civil Aviation).
Merletti holds TULPS license (Consolidated text of the public safety law) ex ART.28 for the manufacture and management of material for Armed forces and Defence.

Merletti Aerospace is a member of AIAD (Federation of Italian Companies for Aerospace, Defense and Security) and, since its foundation in 2009, of the LAC (Lombardy Aerospace Cluster) an integrated system of companies, universities and research centres, equipped with technological expertise and cutting-edge scientific capabilities.

ACTIVITIES AND PRODUCTS
The core of the production is the manufacturing of mechanical parts with full vertical integration of customer orders: acquisition of raw materials, heat treatments, processing, dimensional inspections, non-destructive tests (PT, MT), chemical processing, painting and assembly.
The production area expands on 2800 m2 (Arsago Seprio Plant) and 600 m2 (Somma Lombardo Plant). Additional 3000 m2 are vailable for future investment.

Merletti designs and develops tooling and fixtures and Ground Support Equipment (GSE for EH101 – NH90 – AW139 – AW149 – AW169 – AW189 – VH71 – CH47)

The shop-floor is a temperature controlled environment where CNC machines can produce parts with an accurate degree of precision and finishing, starting from materials with high mechanical characteristics: aluminum, high-strength steels, titanium, Inconel.

Production flows are monitored in real time with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerBI for barcode data collection and business intelligence (4.0 interconnection).

  • Nr.2 5 axes mono/bi-spindle multitasking. Maximum capacity 1200 x 500 x 520
  • Nr.1 oven for thermal fitting. Capacity 600 x 100 x 600. Max temperature 250°C.
  • Tool room (vertical carousels for tools, consumables and components, presettings, shrink fit machines, balancing machines)

The department is equipped with the traditional machines in order to support the production: mills, lathes, lapping machines, surface grinder, drill presses, high-speed sensitive drills up to 20,000 rpm, welders and presses.

NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

Degreasing plant

  • 4 tanks (degreasing, rinsing, drying, cooling) 900 x 900 x 900 mm of which 1 oven tank with temperature range between 65°C and 130°C

Using dedicated detergents it is possible to degrease parts in titanium, aluminium, steel using the same tanks without the need for continuous water changes, from an ESG point of view.

PAINTING

MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
Merletti Aerospace’s main goal is a constant technological improvement aimed at satisfying the requests of its customers.
Commercial actions are aimed towards the consolidation of the relationship with main prime contractors, national and international – both for fixed and rotary wing – in the aerospace, defence and commercial sectors and, in addition, the underwater sector for which the development of supplies of systems for dedicated products is growing.
