ELECTRONIC WARFARE SOLUTIONS

Rigel s.r.l is responsible for testing, validation and delivery of Electronic Warfare systems for AMI, MMI and EI.

Rigel carries out activities of coordination and representation in the EW field, offering and overseeing, testing activities in support of AMI, EI an MMI and optimizing their currently capabilties. Thanks to the experience gained in the expendables passive devices (chaff & flares) Rigel is able to customize solutions addressed to the stringent, critical requirements of the end users in order to fill their capabilities gap.

Rigel is also strong active in the development and promotion of GROUND SUPPORT solutions as to say everything related to preflight testing, training and maintenance activities addressed to the majority of italian Armed Forces platforms/assets.

UNMANNED SYSTEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Rigel operates since many years in the testing, validation and supply of Unmanned systems (UAV/UGV/AUV/USV) through collaborations with international companies specialized in the field and addressing its activity towards the Italian Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces. Other than being able to supply unmanned solutions addressed to all potential environments (land, air, sea, under water) for all potential missions (ISTAR, EOD, C-IED, CBRN, COMMS RELAY). Rigel portfolio contains Tactical class systems, SUAS as well as mini drones.

In the field of “marine” drones Rigel promotes AUV systems for MCM activities (with relative sonar systems for underwater operators), coastal surveillance and monitoring.

COUNTER-DRONE SOLUTIONS AND SYSTEMS

Rigel is active in the promotion of Anti-Drone solutions ranging from static / perimeter systems to portable systems up to the so-called “hunter” drones. These systems were supplied to the Centre of Excellence  for COUNTER DRONE delegated by the Italian Defense Ministry and now deployed in the operational scenarios. In addition to their excellent performances, they have also passed all the tests regarding safety addressed to operator and surrounding environment, which allows them to be considered also for actions and missions in complex scenarios and urban environments. The systems themselves are subject to continuous improvement to cope with threats that rapidly become different and more complex.

SYSTEMS AND SOLUTIONS FOR SIMULATION & TRAINING

Rigel Srl operates since 1990 in delivering solutions and systems for simulation & training, representing companies specialized in the design and manufacturing of equipments dedicated. Thanks to the experience gained in the aero-physiological training for pilots, today Rigel is able to understand the real, concrete needs and requirements and develop the right solutions in order to fill that capacity gap.

RIGEL ACTIVITIES IN SPACE SECTOR AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES

Rigel is active in promoting international cooperation in space, often favoring the development of Startups, so also in aerospace propulsion. Rigel has promoted and developed the ability to atomize energetic elements for solid fuel space propulsion for the first time in Europe freeing European Launchers from an unwanted extra-continental dependence. Thanks to this experience, today Rigel is strongly focused to new technolgies environment like for example the so called Additive Manufacturing offering its skills in the definition and promotion of atomized energetic elements for the production of components made through 3D print technologies.

Since many years Rigel srl delivers Forensic Science and Crime Investigations solutions and equipments through the collaboration with foreign companies leader in the design, manufacturing and supply of highly specialized and technological systems (Fingerprint and DNA examination / latent writing analysis / counterfeited documents / biological trace examination), addressing its activity toward the main national interlocutors and primary users within both the public and private sectors as:
Polizia Scientifica, Reparto Investigazioni Scientifiche dei Carabinieri (RIS), Polizie Locali, Guardia di Finanza, private laboratories.
