S.I.ME., established in 1950, is a family business built on precise mechanics passion for Aerospace & Defense market since 1980.
More than 70 years of experience ensure the right mix of skills and competencies to support customers’ new designs. We take a “quality over quantity” approach, constantly improving the capability to offer high-quality tailored solutions.
S.I.ME. does not simply represent a Supplier, but a reliable Partner able to guarantee customers the support they need, from the early CO-DESIGN stages. Innovation, flexibility and state-of-the-art technology turn dreams into value.
MRO division allows to extend the life cycle of some components in order to reduce emissions on the one hand and to improve resource efficiency on the other hand.
Over the course of years, S.I.ME. has participated to the main Aerospace & Defense programs, such as: Airbus A350, A320 neo, A380, A330, Bombardier C-Series, Embraer E2, Sukhoi S100, Comac C919, Boeing 777, Eurofigther, AMX, Tornado, Agusta Westland AW109, AW129, AW169, AW189, etc.
Service components enable an extensive supply: flexible and certified in compliance with time delivery.
S.I.ME. envisions a sustainable and responsible long-term growth, constantly looking for new business applications in order to create shared value for stakeholders.
S.I.ME. is a high precision machining workshop able to manufacture complex parts of 400x400x400 mm (16”x16”x16”) maximum dimensions or 300 mm (12”) maximum diameter by 300 mm (12”) of maximum length. Our CNC machines range from Turning and milling work-centres, 4 and 5-axis milling centres, External and internal Grinders and Surface grinder.
The technical department and the tooling department allow us to design and manufacture the fixtures needed to produce parts. Mechanical groups, made of inhouse-manufactured components and standard purchased parts, can be assembled in S.I.ME..
Traditional equipment such as lapping machine, honing machine, centreless grinders, lathes and drilling machines are installed in our plant.
In its Met Lab, S.I.ME. is able to manufacture and certify external rolled threads for Critical and Flight Safety Parts.
We have a professional deburring department that exploits special tools and high-quality instruments, such as a Zeiss Stereomicroscope, that enables the detection of burrs up to 300 mm of depth.
Our Dimensional Control Room hosts 3 CMMs that enable the Control of the parts against the mathematical model developed by our CAD/CAM systems or supplied by our Customers.
S.I.ME. is EN 9100 and UNI EN ISO 9001 approved. All our Special Processes are NADCAP approved: Liquid Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Passivation, Precipitation hardening and Stress relieving HT. Through a network of NADCAP or Customer approved Suppliers, we are able to supply a completely finished and certified product.
Our Purchasing Department is familiar in dealing with AMS and EN specification materials, needed to supply finished parts in accordance to Customer Drawing. S.I.ME. is approved for Manufacturing and Export of mechanical components for the Defense Market. A proprietary information System is key to improve our efficiency and therefore supply a competitive product reliably.
