Fondata nel 1903 a Somma Lombardo dal giovane tecnico Secondo Mona per la vendita e riparazione di cicli e motocicli, dal 1913 l’omonima azienda è attiva nel settore aeronautico con la riparazione dei motori installati sui primi aeroplani dell’epoca e dal 1923, grazie anche alle prime collaborazioni internazionali con aziende francesi, inglesi e tedesche, progetta e produce equipaggiamenti carburante di bordo.
A oltre un secolo di distanza, con l’esperienza acquisita nella partecipazione a tutti i programmi aeronautici italiani e ai principali programmi multinazionali europei a partire dal secondo dopoguerra, nonché, più recentemente, a programmi nordamericani e di altre nazioni emergenti nel settore, la Secondo Mona è oggi, alla quarta generazione, un’azienda affermata a livello internazionale per la qualità e affidabilità delle proprie forniture aeronautiche di bordo per velivoli ad ala fissa e ala rotante, civili e militari.

Founded in 1903 in Somma Lombardo by a young and gifted Mr. Secondo Mona for the sale and repair of cycles and motorcycles, since 1913 the Company is active in the aerospace industry with the repair of the engines of the first aircraft of that time and since 1923, thanks also to the first international collaborations with English, French and German companies, it designs and produces on-board fuel equipment.

Over a century later, with the experience of having participated in all Italian aerospace programmes and in the principal multinational European programmes after the Second World War, as well as more recently in North American and other foreign programmes, Secondo Mona is today, at the fourth generation, an internationally established company known for the quality and reliability of its aeronautical supplies for fixed and rotary wing aircraft, civil and military.

Secondo Mona is still a vertically integrated company that can manage internally the whole process from technological research to product design and development throughout all the phases of production, assembly and testing and after sale product support with state-of-the-art technology thanks to continuous investment in capabilities and organization.

The technological know-how of Secondo Mona lies in fluid mechanics, especially for the management of fuel on board aircrafts, and in electromechanics and hydraulics. The actual product lines consist of an extensive range of on-board equipment and systems, including the following:

The Company is certified to UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, UNI EN ISO 9100:2005, UNI EN ISO 14001:2004, NADCAP for special processes (heat and surface treatment, painting, non distructive testing) and it has the National and European Civil and Military certifications to operate in the business.
