UNIKA S.p.A., founded in 1998, is by now a leader in Italy in the production of electrical cables supplied in several international markets and segments.
Its modern production facilities consist in two manufacturing plants and a logistics centre (KU Distribution), 10.000 and 4000
square meters respectively, which allow UNIKA to continue its daily task of production and development with great attention to customers’needs.
UNIKA can develop new products and production technologies that enables the manufacturing of cables with high chemical and mechanical performances.
The ability to meet main industry regulations and the willingness to accept the challenge of requests for customization, makes UNIKA able to follow the evolution of the cables from design to production, until warehouse storage.
Industrial automation, robotics, automotive, marine, offshore, railways, submersible pumps are a few areas of application in which the continuous investments have allowed the company to excel in the international market.
UNIKA has developed and got the approval for two cable families for the Italian Navy fleets (certicates n°2/17, 4/17 and 7/17).
Such cables belong to two different Navy Standards:
- NAV-80-6145-0003-14-00B000 thin wall cables for electrical and electronic interconnection
- NAV-80-6145-0005-13-00B000 instrumentation, control, power cables.
Furthermore, UNIKA has designed, manufactured and installed cables to be installed into rotating chains, feeding the gun systems developed by LEONARDO for Navy units, and other cables, for switchboard and harnessing, in compliance with the stringent Navy requirements.
